Amnesia: The Bunker is a long awaited instalment of the Amnesia games, this time taking place in the oppressive and claustrophobic confines of a WW1 bunker.
Currently in development by Frictional Games (creators of SOMA and Amnesia), Amnesia: The Bunker is an immersive first person survival horror game set in a WW1 bunker. You wake up in the bunker and find that it’s been abandoned and that there’s a monster that lurks within the walls.
It does have one of the most annoying cliches in modern horror video games – a flashlight that constantly runs out of power, but other than that it’s a promising experience. It’s a slow paced and cerebral game that really immerses you in the dank confines of its WW1 setting. You really need to think about what you’re doing and plan your actions – the monster reacts to your every move and sound, so you really don’t want to push your luck. See how you fare in The Bunker!
