An English Haunting is a spooky pixel art point and click adventure where a university professor goes in search of proof of the Great Beyond.
Currently in development by Postmodern Adventures (Creators of Nightmare Frames), An English Haunting is a horror point and click adventure set in 1907 England. You take on the role of a university professor whose Metapsychic Investigations Department is about to get shut down forever if he doesn’t find proof of supernatural phenomenon within 3 days. The clock is ticking, but thankfully you have a lead – the most haunted manor in England.
Unfortunately the demo build of An English Haunting doesn’t get as far as you visiting the manor, so there’s no spooky stuff going on, but you do get to embark on the beginnings of the adventure. It’s a very promising game with high quality pixel artwork, excellent writing and an interesting set up. A spooky point and click adventure set in an era where ghosts and spirits seemed a whole lot more possible.
