An ExSCOURGEon Through Space And Time is a quirky Pied Piper of Hamelin inspired first person puzzle platforming adventure where you collect rats and transform them with your music.
In An ExSCOURGEon Through Space And Time you step into the shoes of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, who can not just get rats to follow him, but transform them into useful objects too. You’ve been hired by the king of Hamelin to clear up the town’s rat problem, but as in the original story you are double crossed after completing your task. You now need to travel through space and time to seek your revenge.
To get rats to follow you all you need to do is touch them while you’re holding your flute. When you have a few rats following you then you can play your flute to transform them into useful objects such as ramps, bridges and a large ball. Different objects require different amounts of rats, so you need to tackle certain parts of each level before you have enough rats to reach the rest.
It’s a great game with a unique premise and a delightfully absurd Python-esque sense of humor. The visual style is particularly cool and its unique twist on the classic story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin is a lot of fun. A delightfully silly and creative little adventure well worth checking out.
