Asterigos: Curse of the Stars is a beautiful third person high fantasy action RPG adventure where you journey to a cursed city to save your father.
In Asterigos: Curse of the Stars you follow the adventure of Hilda – a skilled young warrior discovers the secrets of a cursed city as she searches for her father. The gameplay feels like a lighter and more easily accessible take on the soulslike genre, with a nice amount of character agility and a more forgiving combat system.
There are bonfire-esque checkpoints that cause enemies to respawn when you use them and you can level up your characters stats and learn new skills. You also have a nice amount of weapons which you can switch between, with you able to carry and use two at a time.
It’s a visually stunning game with some excellent world design, epic boss fights and gameplay that challenges but doesn’t punish. A beautiful and more accessible take on the soulslike genre that’s more about pleasure than pain.
