ASTRAY is a first-person survival horror game that follows in the footsteps of the minimalistic horror hit Slender: The Eight Pages.
The game begins just after your trusty dog, Trigger, runs away during your evening hike through the forest. With only a faint light and a camera flash to illuminate your path, you must try to find your dog… and whatever creature caught his attention.
ASTRAY’s demo keeps you in the dark, quite literally, about how to progress. While helpful tool tips show up at the bottom of the screen to acquaint you with the controls, the omnipresent inky blackness makes for an incredibly disorienting and difficult trek through the forest. Fortunately, the demo’s chilling soundscape helps to paint a better (and spookier) picture of ASTRAY‘s possible future as yet another terror-filled indie title. So turn the lights down low and give ASTRAY a try this All Hallows’ Eve.
Note: You can switch between the flashlight and the camera by pressing ‘1 ‘and ‘2’ on your keyboard respectively. The camera’s flash can be activated by pressing the ‘F’ key.
