Atherspirit, a clever little platformer made for the Ludum Dare 43, has you killing yourself so that your soul can enter other bodies and use their unique skills.
You are a little ghost – one without a body or purpose in this world. That is, until you start possessing the bodies of other creatures. One creature, of course, doesn’t have all of the skill sets you desire or need to continue your adventure, so you’ll need to sacrifice the creature you have taken over, to allow your spirit to transfer to the nearest creature and possess them.
Scattered around the world, there are 7 rainbow gems that need to be collected – though sometimes this is more of a challenge then you’d think. You’ll of course, need the right person for the job when it comes to getting to them and you’ll need to make sure you are done with the character you are sacrificing as well.
Taking around five minutes to play through, it’s a fun little puzzle platformer that requires real planning for you to succeed. Once you kill a character you can’t go back, so you’d better be sure you’re don’t need them anymore before you bump them off!
