Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials is a lighthearted pixel art action platforming adventure where you attempt to fight your way out of a deep, dark pit filled with Eldritch monstrosities.
After being mistaken for a thief by a band of angry orks you’ve been knocked down into a deep underground cave system full of hidden secrets and deadly enemies. With over 300 rooms to explore it’s going to take a while to get out, but you have your sword and your trusty companion Pip – a magic glowing bat who can be used to light the way and activate mechanisms. Along the way other companions may join you and aid in your adventure, but there’s also a strange shadowy demonic entity who seems to have plans for you…
The Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials Beta demo is a timed demo that gives you 25 minutes to play through it. It features a nice variety of puzzles, platforming and combat and finishes with a big boss fight. It’s great fun exploring the cave system and there’s a huge amount of secrets to discover along the way.
It’s a very polished experience with high quality pixel art animation, clever puzzle design, a great sense of humor and well crafted retro action platforming gameplay. A slick, stylish and silly monster filled adventure well worth delving into.
