Beasts of Maravilla Island is a beautiful non-violent third person adventure that plays a little like Pokémon Snap but rather than being on-rails you can explore at your own pace, solve puzzles and learn all the secrets of a mysterious island.
In Beasts of Maravilla Island you take on the role of an aspiring wildlife photographer who has traveled to a mysterious island full of extraordinary creatures. In the game you’ll explore the island, photograph the animals in their environment and learn their behaviors. The study of their behaviors will often help you solve puzzles and navigate the environment.
The current build of Beasts of Maravilla Island takes around 30 minutes to play through and features a large jungle area to explore. There are lots of weird and wonderful creatures and plantlife to discover, all of which you can snap with your camera and add to your photobook. There are also notes in your grandfather’s journal about some of the creatures, allowing you to learn more about their behaviour.
It’s a delightful experience that gives you a glimpse of a vibrant magical world, full of life and discovery. It’s the perfect antidote to the drudgery of lockdown and is a perfect place to unwind and get back to (virtual) nature. A wildlife snapping adventure well worth snapping up.
