Becrowned is a surreal old school third person survival horror adventure where you search for your wife in a mysterious ancient kingdom.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer last year, in Becrowned you’ll navigate a decaying ancient kingdom filled with living horrors. A branching narrative responds dramatically to your choices. Show mercy to a repentant killer or execute final judgment? Each decision shapes both the world and your path toward multiple possible endings.
The new Becrowned demo features over an hour’s worth of gameplay and starts from the beginning of the story (while the last demo was more of a vertical slice). At the moment, the melee combat is a weak point (a dodge button would really help), but everything else is very impressive. It looks fantastic and it’s got an intriguing story with interesting Dark Souls-esque characters. It also feels like the full game is going to have an impressive size and scope. Highly recommended.
