Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery is a wonderfully tranquil and beautifully animated narrative-driven adventure where you guide the brush-strokes of a young artist and discover that every painting has a story to tell.
In Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery you follow the adventure of a young female artist who paints by her window across from a gruff old man who also enjoys painting. In between painting your pictures you’ll take coffee breaks, listen to music, cook food, type on your computer, solve puzzles and even do some sketches of your neighbor.
The current demo build takes around 10 minutes to play through, and it’s a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The painting/sketching mechanics feel great and you really feel immersed in your young artist’s life. There’s also a feeling that there’s more than meets the eye in the relationship between you and your neighbor, with similar artworks popping up in each of their homes. You’ll have to wait for the full game to find out what’s going on there though. Highly recommended.
