BLOK is a first-person psychological horror game set in 1990s Poland, where returning to your childhood apartment block after years of political exile reveals a neighborhood that looks exactly as you remember – and that’s precisely what’s wrong.
In BLOK, a cryptic letter from your mother draws you back to the housing complex you fled during the communist regime. The courtyard, the stairwells, the peeling wallpaper – everything appears preserved with unsettling perfection. But the deeper you investigate, the more fractures emerge in the facade. Environmental puzzles weave naturally into a narrative exploring life under surveillance and systemic repression, while the spaces themselves subtly transform as buried truths surface from behind walls, beneath staircases, and inside basements holding decades of enforced silence.
It’s a fun game with Eastern European nostalgia that feels simultaneously comforting and deeply unsettling. If you’re ready to dig through layers of memory and concrete, this one really blocks out the competition!
