Brightfall is an open world survival craft game for one to four players set on a cursed 17th century island consumed by living darkness that twists reality and devours sanity with every passing moment.
In Brightfall you awaken shipwrecked on an isle erased from English maps, where maintaining your light source becomes the difference between survival and madness. You’ll scavenge abandoned Celtic ruins for resources, craft progressively stronger lanterns and torches, and build sanctuaries that push back the corrupting gloom.
Each expedition tests your ability to balance exploration with safety as you venture deeper into twisted biomes where trees bend unnaturally and shadows hunt the living. Death reshapes the island but preserves your knowledge, letting you unlock new blueprints and abilities that persist across runs.
Cooperative gameplay allows friends to share the burden of keeping flames burning while one player gathers supplies and another defends against creatures born from darkness itself. Stray too far from light and you’ll become a Shadow, forcing teammates to rescue you before the transformation becomes permanent. Sign up for the playtest if you’re feeling bright.
