Chunker is an intense dungeon crawling bullet hell roguelike where you control a deformable blue-skinned creature that was abandoned in a dangerous underground world.
In Chunker you take control of a young creature that was experimented on and discarded in a monster-filled underground world. It’s roguelike dungeon crawler in a similar vein as The Binding of Isaac, with stackable upgrades, challenging gameplay and big boss fights. The dungeons are more open then Isaac’s adventures though (so you don’t go room-by-room) and there’s much more of a bullet hell element to the game.
The underworld of Chunker is full of enemies, traps and bullets to dodge, but Chunker has some handy tricks up his sleeve. There are hundreds of different types of attacks you can do depending on which weapons and skills you aquire. Your tentacle arms also come in handy as a shield, or for attacking and grabbing things. You’ll also run into the occasional helpful NPC now and again, so it’s nice to know that not everything is trying to kill you in the game!
It’s a great looking game, with a fantastic pixel art visual style that combines the cute with the grotesque and fast paced bullet hell dungeon crawling gameplay that’s bound to appeal to fans of The Binding of Isaac.
