CloverPit is a Balatro and Buckshot Royale inspired rogue-lite gambling game where you attempt to gamble your way out of a never-ending debt.
In CloverPit you find yourself locked in a small metallic room with a slot machine, an ATM and a vending machine. You have a debt that you need to pay into the ATM (or you will die), and to get the cash for that debt you’ll need to gamble in the slot machine. Thankfully the odds are in your favor, so you can win quite a lot of cash (especially with some well chosen perks from the vending machine), but when you pay off a debt a new, higher debt is added and things get trickier.
Hopefully the full game will add some more interesting ways to die than falling into a pit, but it’s an addictive game with a simple premise and well thought out mechanics. It’s a lot of fun and as with Balatro you can create some seriously powerful combinations of perks and there’s real dopamine hit when you win big. Highly recommended.
