Comatose is a grimy survival horror game where a woman finds herself trapped within a nightmare inside her comatose brain after a traumatic experience.
In Comatose you carve your way through the depths of your unconscious mind or sink into the void. You navigate a deserted prison filled with monsters while searching for supplies to survive. The game blends combat, stealth and light puzzles as you battle and evade freaky monsters and a chainsaw-wielding pig-man.
The combat is a bit on the easy side (as long as you have enough ammo), but other than that it’s a promising game. It’s got a great atmosphere, the monster designs are great and it’s got a cool stop-motion-esque low-framerate thing going on with the animations. Grimy survival horror that won’t leave you comatose.
