Crypt Custodian is a top-down metroidvania adventure where a deceased cat is sentenced to clean in the afterlife forever.
In Crypt Custodian you are a cat who has recently died. You find yourself in the afterlife, and after accidentally annoying the person who decides whether you go to the good place or the bad place, you’re promptly sent off to the bad place. Not only that, but you’ll have to work there as a janitor for eternity. You now need to explore, fight monsters, solve puzzles, collect upgrades, clean up and hopefully find some way out of your predicament.
It’s a very charming game with fun characters to meet, a great sense of humor and a delightful 2D art style. The combat is a little basic, but there’s lots to discover as you explore the land and search for a way to escape. A fine feline adventure where a cat actually cleans up for a change, rather than causing a mess!
