CryptidCam is a lighthearted photography adventure where you venture into spooky woods to lure out and photograph fan-favorite cryptids like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Loveland Frogman for a mysterious researcher’s Cryptid-Nomicon.
In CryptidCam, interacting directly with cryptids elicits interesting behaviors perfect for capturing — move quietly to catch them sleeping, feed them to photograph eating poses, or throw objects to knock them off balance. Photos are graded on position, distance, direction, visibility, and bonus points for multiple creatures or interesting poses, encouraging you to beat your previous scores. Eight distinct cryptids including the Flatwoods Monster and Tsuchinoko hide throughout the woods, each tied to real-world legends and trivia you’ll unlock in Dr. Ted’s research guide.
Between photography sessions, you hang out at a cozy cabin lab with Ted, who offers over five whole lines of unique dialogue. The game is designed as a short, easy-to-pick-up experience perfect for relaxing exploration without pressure. If you’re ready to develop your cryptid portfolio, this one’s picture-perfect!
