Curse of the Blood Moon is an intense vampyric twin-stick shooter where ranged shots cost health and melee kills recover health as you attempt to survive against an onslaught of the undead.
Created for the Global Game Jam 2020, Curse of the Blood Moon is a very fast paced and beautifully animated twin stick shooter where you attempt to survive for as long as possible as hordes of grotesque monstorsites fill the arena. Ideally you’ll like to keep your distance from them and shoot them using your blood magic, but every shot you fire drains your health bar. However, if you kill enemies with a melee attack then you’ll regain your health, with health bonus being larger for stronger enemies.
It’s a real challenge to stay alive more than a few minutes, but Curse of the Blood Moon is a lot of fun and it keeps you coming back for more punishment. This is thanks largely to the beautifully animated monsters, the excellent soundtrack and the fast paced gameplay that encourages you to get in close to your enemies for the melee kills.
