Daikaiju Daikessen: Versus is a fantastic love letter to classic Neo Geo King of Monsters games, which allows you to cause carnage and beat up a massive array of massive Kaiju.
Currently in development by One Secret Pseudo, Daikaiju Daikessen: Versus takes the classic arcade brawler gameplay of King of Monsters and expands on it in every way possible. You start the game with a couple of playable Kauju, but as you play you can unlock a massive roster of combatants and NPCs that fight by your side.
It currently features survival, versus, battle zone and EX missions, all of which offer a slightly different twist on arcade Kaiju brawling. Most of the modes allow you to unlock new Kaiju in the research area (shop) by beating them and you purchase them using the currency you earn in game (there are no microtransactions).
It’s a superb callback to the classic King of Monsters games with lots of bold, bright and beautifully animated Kauju sprites, tons of unlockables and good old fashioned button mashing arcade gameplay. Perfect for when you just feel like smashing some sh*t up!
