Decarnation is a surreal Lynchian psychological horror adventure about a struggling cabaret singer whose real-life issues manifest as monsters in her subconscious.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer last year, Decarnation blends survival horror elements with minigames, fantastic pixel art animation, an RPG Maker-esque top-down visual style and a rich character-driven narrative. The story revolves around a veteran cabaret singer who is struggling in her career and her personal life. One day a mysterious benefactory makes her an offer that seems too good to be true. Could this be the change she needs or is it a case of out of the frying pan, into the fire?
There is a Decarnation demo still available on Steam with around an hour’s worth of gameplay (and it’s excellent), but you can now sign up for the playtest if you want to check out more og Gloria’s adventure. Please note that this playtest will require you to sign an NDA (no sharing gameplay footage).
