Deep City is a creepy retro styled subsea horror game where a fisherman finds himself dragged down to an underwater city by a mysterious monster.
Created for the HPS1 Summer of Shivers game jam, Deep City follows a fisherman who gets pulled down to the depths by a strange monster. Oddly, the fisherman doesn’t drown down there and there appears to be an entire underwater city. It seems that there are (or were) other people living down there, maybe he can find them and seek help. However, there’s also something monstrous lurking in the depths that definitely isn’t friendly…
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, it’s a well crafted little horror game with some interesting twists and some very freaky monsters. Wandering around an underwater city feels a little like you’re in a modern day Atlantis and the way the story unravels is cleverly done. Deep sea horror well worth diving into!
