Xbox One, PS4 and Steam users can now sign up for the upcoming Disintegration Beta, for a chance to jump in a gravity cycle and test out the latest Sci-Fi FPS from the co-creator of Halo.
As we mentioned during the closed Alpha sign up, Disintegration is an innovative new Sci-Fi first person shooter that’s being developed by V1 Interactive – a new studio founded by the co-creators of Halo and SOCOM: US Navy SEALs. It takes place in a distant future where mankind integrated themselves into machines to stave off extinction. However, the “Integrated” are now at war with the humans and are likely to wipe them out, unless you (an integrated gravcycle rider) and your squad can do anything about it.
In Disintegration you pilot a heavily armed gravcycle which can swoop around in the air and do some serious damage with its guns. However you also have a small crew of outlaws at your command, who you can equip with unique loadouts and issue instructions to throughout the battle. In single player these outlaws are AI controlled, but it’s unclear at the moment whether any of the multiplayer modes allow them to be controlled by players.
It’s a novel approach to the first person shooter that should make for a very tactical take on the genre. It already looks incredible and V1 Interactive know a thing or two about making good shooters so it’s certainly worth checking out.
