Doki Doki Ragnarok is a super silly fusion of pillaging and dating simulation that sees you chatting up coastal towns as you raid them.
In Doki Doki Ragnarok you play a fearsome Viking who loves nothing more than pillaging and ransacking innocent coastal towns. However, you can’t just rush straight in and start raiding a town – you need to get to know them, romance them and find some common battleground before you steal their heart (and everything that’s not nailed down).
In the game you’re given three different towns to conquer, each with their own personalities. You chat with them and choose from four main actions – raid, drink mead, praise Odin and attack England. You gain favor with them by paying attention to clues in the dialogue and using certain actions dependent on their emotional state, hopeful earning enough goodwill with them to allow some good old fashioned pillaging.
Taking around 10 minutes to complete, Doki Doki Ragnarok is a very funny game from start to finish, with great artwork, witty writing and an incredibly silly premise. A brilliantly bizarre town romancing/ransacking adventure well worth setting sail for.
