Don’t Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland is a post-apocalyptic thriller that blends point and click adventure and survival gameplay as you attempt to survive for four days in a dying world.
The post-apocalyptic point and click survival gameplay of Don’t Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland takes place in a dying world where the moon was cracked in half by a cataclysmic event. Everyone is now dead or dying, except you, a lone survivor who has prophetic dreams (and nightmares).
Don’t Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland plays like a point and click adventure and has traditional puzzles, but unlike other point and click adventures it’s designed for multiple playthroughs. Your actions will affect the story, but there are also random variations on each playthrough – so for instance instead of running into a gang of thugs you may encounter poisonous gas.
Time is also another important factor in the game. Your goal for each day is to complete enough preparations to help you survive through the night (fix a bridge, barricade the windows on your hideout, etc.), but your actions can take time, so you need to prioritise to make sure you’re prepared for whatever threats are coming your way.
The pixel art animation in Don’t Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland looks fantastic and its novel blend of survival elements, random events, time management and point and click adventure gameplay should make for a unique experience with plenty of replayability. Note: The Don’t Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland Beta test is under an NDA, so no sharing video, screenshots or any other info about the game.
