DownSouth is a morality-driven platformer RPG where your choices affect your sanity, and your sanity affects how you play.
In DownSouth, play as South, a stimulant-fueled purple bean parkouring through sprawling dystopian cityscapes. With high sanity, South is a brightly colored speed-demon – fast, versatile, with fluid movement and wide dialogue options, but fragile and vulnerable. As Soul Points degrade, colors fade, fluidity falters, and dialogue disappears, leaving a devoid killing machine – powerful but increasingly detached.
Using up to five dialogue options, constantly weigh empathy against self-preservation, deciding whether other lives matter more than your survival. Experience hand-drawn pixel-art animation, branching narratives, upgradeable abilities, and moral dilemmas that evolve based on every choice.
