Dread Delusion is a stunningly beautiful retro styled dark fantasy RPG adventure set in a broken world where humanity clings to flying continents and all kinds of monsters lurk below.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer over a year ago, Dread Delusion is an open world RPG adventure with a vast hand-crafted world and some of the most beautiful retro styled visuals you’ll ever see. In the game you take on the role of a prisoner who is freed in exchange for hunting down one of the most dangerous outlaws in the world. However, locating and defeating that outlaw won’t be easy, and maybe her cause is more honorable than yours. Your choices will decide the fate of the land.
While the last build of Dread Delusion we covered featured a reasonably small (but well-designed) section of land to explore, the latest build allows you to explore a vast chunk of the world. It’s a wondrous place to explore that’s packed full of detail, interesting NPC’s, side-quests, loot, and lots of jaw-dropping scenery. It also features a comprehensive RPG levelling system, with you able to build up your character to suit your playstyle.
The world-building in Dread Delusion is incredible, with a rich lore, lots of interesting places to explore and lots of strange inhabitants to meet/fight. The game does have combat, but fighting is never the only option – sharp wits can be more handy than sharp swords in these strange lands.
It’s shaping up to be an incredible game with a vast world that you can truly immerse yourself in. There’s something interesting around every corner and the scenery along the way is simply stunning. Highly recommended.
