DREADMOOR is a dark first-person fishing adventure set in a submerged world devastated by catastrophic human error where coastal regions have sunk beneath murky waters. Command a fishing trawler through flooded landscapes while catching dangerous fish species, battling mutated creatures, and trading with mysterious merchants across scattered settlements.
In DREADMOOR you navigate rotting wetlands using skill-based fishing mechanics that require experimenting with different baits to lure dozens of rare and deadly species from the depths. Managing your boat’s hold becomes critical as caught sea creatures will devour each other if left unchecked, with more dangerous prey commanding higher prices from traders. Survival depends on crafting specialized equipment from scavenged resources found in abandoned buildings, caves, and shipwrecks, including reinforced harpoons, rare medicines, and survival tools designed for harsh aquatic conditions.
The playtest features about 1-2 hours worth of gameplay and has a nice mixture of fishign, exploration and survival/craftign elements. The world is very well realized and there’s plenty of great little environmental touches as you explore and cattch freaky fish. A horror fishing adventure that might get you hooked.
