Beta sign ups are now live for Dreams, Media Molecule’s new PS4 exclusive sandbox creation experience that takes the “play, create, share” ethos of LittleBigPlanet to a whole new level.
Originally announced in 2013, Dreams has been in development for a loooong time now, but it looks like Media Molecules hard work is finally bearing fruit. The Beta will be focused on giving creators a chance to try out their creation tools. It really does look like you can create anything you can dream up, with you able to sculpt assets and create any genre of game you can think of – the devs even recreated LittleBigPlanet in it!
The Dreams Beta will go live on January 4th and will run until January 21st, and is limited to EU, AUS, Middle East, Canada, Africa and the US. It won’t feature the game’s story mode, VR and a few of the tools and assets won’t be available, but there’s still a lot of creation tools available to you and your creations will carry over into the full game (though your progress will not). Unfortunately, the Dreams will be under an NDA, so you won’t be able to show off your creations at the moment!
