Enemy electronic warfare units degrade your targeting capabilities if left alive too long, while hostile air defense systems restrict your operating angles and force difficult repositioning decisions. Ignoring either threat category cascades into rapidly deteriorating effectiveness that can doom an entire sortie.
The tension comes from constant triage – deciding what absolutely must die first when everything on the ground is trying to shut you down simultaneously.
