Edom is a surreal isometric puzzle adventure where you attempt to overcome your irrational fears as your mind plays tricks on you while exploring your old creepy house.
In Edom you take control of a young woman who wakes up alone in her large stately mansion. Your mind plays tricks on you and you’re plagued by irrational fears – such as being scared to go near a moth or feeling like your home is much larger than it actually is. You feel very small and even a locked cupboard can feel a little intimidating. Then you encounter a strange painting that transforms into a little girl and things get a whole lot stranger..
It takes around 10 minutes to play through the current build of Edom and its an interesting experience. The game does a great job of preying on primal fears and the transformation into the young girl is a clever touch. It seems that things get a whole lot more surreal and scary when you turn into the young girl – possibly due to a child having a more active imagination than an adult. An intriguing little horror game well worth checking out.
