ElecHead is a wonderfully inventive pixel art puzzle platformer where your character is electrically charged and activates any object that they come into contact with.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer last year, ElecHead is a delightful and very creative puzzle platformer where you activate structures by touching them. Your charge can be used to activate platforms walls and deadly hazards, so you need to be careful how you use it – being in contact with objects will activate them whether you want them to or not!
The current build of ElecHead takes around ten minutes to play through and plays with its core concept in some inventive ways throughout. It does a great job of teaching you the intricacies of the mechanics as you play and the puzzles are all very well designed. There are some hidden collectibles to search for if you want a little more challenge and later on you also unlock the ability to throw your electrically charged head then moving around with your uncharged body (which allows for some especially good puzzle design).
It’s shaping up to be an excellent puzzle platforming adventure that takes a simple core concept and expands on it in some brilliant ways. An electrically charged delight well worth shining a light on.
