Endling is a cleverly crafted narrative-driven Sci-Fi adventure where you live within a house that automatically adapts to your preferences, with an aim of making a perfect day that’s worth reliving.
In Endling you awaken in the bedroom of a pleasant looking house that’s filled with IKEA-esque furniture. As you awake you’re greeted by an AI voice (called IKEA) that talks to you as you go through each room and asks you to make a series of simple choices – such as your favorite color, preferred type of chair or musical genre. Then when you awaken the next day, the process starts again, but the house is slightly altered according to your choices. While this may seem like a dream house, there’s clearly something else going on here…
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, Endling is a fantastic piece of interactive storytelling. The AI’s dialogue is cleverly written, the way the house adapts to your choices is a fantastic touch and the ending is mind-blowing. Highly recommended.
