Enlisted is a massively multiplayer squad based military shooter from Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment (War Thunder, CrossOut), that allows players to take part in authentic recreations of some of the most important moments of World War 2.
In Enlisted players will be able to experience famous WW2 battles on a massive scale with over a hundred soldiers fighting simultaneously in individual fields of battle within huge maps that can be up to hundreds of kilometers squared. Interestingly, each battle recreated in Enlisted promises to be a separate game, developed independently from each other and featuring realistic conditions and real objectives that soldiers had in real battles – not just multiplayer skirmishes set against different war-torn backdrops.
There are various game modes and scenarios in Enlisted, including one where you lead your own squad of AI controlled soldiers into the battlefield, with them following orders and fighting by your side. Battles in Enlisted also promise to favor realism over fairness – creating the conditions of the original battles, were military forces and objectives weren’t necessarily balanced fairly.
Your chances of success in battle are dependant on your weapons, character capabilities, strategy and teamwork. As you progress you’ll unlock new characters and a wide array of weaponry – with a promise that, as in real war, every weapon has its own history and it’s unlikely you’ll ever come across two that are exactly the same.
It’s a great looking game that looks set to offer a unique, authentic and large scale take on the WWII military shooter. A game where battles really are battles and not just two sides shooting each other to earn points. Sign up for the Alpha for a chance to join the fray early.
