Escape Doodland is a wonderfully weird auto-running platforming adventure that sees you controlling a lots of bizarre little doodle creatures as they run, jump, swim, fly and fart their way through a beautiful hand drawn world, while evading being eaten by a massive evil monster!
We first featured Escape Doodland last year during the previous Beta sign up, but now that the game is nearing completion the dev is very keen to get feedback on all the levels, specifically regarding the difficulty. It sees you taking control of Doodlers – cheerful and odd looking little creatures, no two of which look the same and who all live happily in the hand drawn world of Doodland. It seems that their idyllic life in Doodland has come to an end though after a huge evil monster called Omnomus invades and develops a taste for the little Doodlers.
You now need to help the Doodlers outrun Omnomus through a series of beautifully drawn doodle-filled levels as they attempt to survive being eaten. The Doodlers aren’t the biggest or strongest of creatures, but they do have one handy defensive ability – stinky farts that can stun Omnomus or be set on fire to give them a boost. It seems the road to survival will be a perilous, beautifully drawn and extremely smelly one!
It’s a great looking game with fantastic hand drawn artwork, a great sense of humor and diverse level design that allows for more depth and variety than most auto-running platformers.
