Fallen City Brawl is an old school Final Fight style side scrolling beat ‘em up where four strangers set out to clean up the streets of a corrupt city.
Drawing inspiration from 80’s/90’s classics like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, Fallen City Brawl is a retro arcade beat ‘em up set on the dangerous streets of Fallen City. The demo features two playable characters (there will be found in the full game) and one very short level to test out their fighting skills in. Each character has their own unique attacks, specials and assists and you can pick up weapons to do some more damage to your enemies.
The current demo build of Fallen City Brawl is very short and does have a few rough edges, but it does a good job of nailing the classic retro arcade beat ‘em up vibe. The pixel art animation is excellent and although the gameplay isn’t particularly revolutionary, it is fun and has some nice features (such as enemies not getting knocked out of the screen where you can’t reach them). Definitely worth keeping an eye on if you’re a fan of retro beat ‘em ups.
