False Oath is a retro-style survival horror game set in a plague ridden medieval kingdom, where a cure must be found before time runs completely out.
In False Oath players take on the role of Elis, a knight tasked with gathering rare ingredients for a potion capable of curing any ailment. You’ll explore fixed camera environments using classic tank controls while solving puzzles, managing limited resources, and engaging in melee focused combat. Ranged weapons come with scarce ammunition, healing items are precious, and progress must be saved manually at designated points throughout the kingdom.
The mediaeval setting is pretty unique for survival horror, but the gameplay and presentation manages to capture the tension of classic survival horror very well. Check it out for some sword-based survival horror.
