Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer a year ago, Fashion Police Squad is a very different type of first person shooter. Instead of killing people you liberate them from their terrible fashion sense. In the game you take on the role of a snazzily dressed member of the Fashion Police Squad and take to the streets to get to the bottom of a nefarious plot which is flooding the city with badly dressed citizens.
There are various different types of badly dressed enemies you’ll meet, each of which usually requires a different type of weapon to neutralise them. So for instance, if you meet someone wearing a bland grey suit you can blast them with paint to add a splash of color, or if you meet someone with sagging pants you can hit them with your belt to make them fit properly. The belt also comes in handy as a grappling hook, allowing you to swing through the city and discover a few secrets along the way.
The new Beta build of Fashion Police Squad features a variety of gameplay improvements, one new main level, one new side-level and two new enemy types to deal with (Karens and people wearing socks with sandals). It’s a hell of a lot of fun, with tight fashion-based gunplay, vibrant visuals, likeable characters and lots of silly fashion based puns and gags.
