FATHOM is a great looking new multiplayer 6 degrees of freedom acton RTS inspired by the Descent games, in which players pilot heavily armed submersibles, fight enemies, gather resources and construct a fleet as they battle for control of the ocean.
Playable on standard screens or Oculus Rift, FATHOM allows up to four players to compete in team based or free-for-all matches that combine fast paced first/third person submersible combat with the resource management and tactical warfare of an RTS. Players must establish and expand their base, hunt for resources, build a fleet and command them in action packed sub sea battles. As well as piloting your own heavily armed submersible, you also build up a fleet of subordinates and command them to attack strategic points in the enemies defences. You can also purchase new vehicles to pilot and call in devastating attacks from your surface support team, such as depth charges and orbital lasers.
