Forbidden Source is a fun looking new fantasy RPG game for Android devices that combines turn based PvP duels with settlement building as you search a mysterious island for a source of unlimited strength.
In Forbidden Source you take on the role of a wanderer who has searched all his life for a mysterious hidden energy that’s said to grant unlimited strength. Your quest has led you to a distant island, but other players are there too, so you’ll need to build a settlement to help prepare for your upcoming battles with them.
The combat in Forbidden Source takes the form of turn based duels against other players where you cast spells by physically drawing symbols with your finger (with the power of the spell depending on how accurate you are). You’ll earn XP with every battle, allowing you to unlock new abilities and legendary items.
Aside from duelling, you can also build and upgrade your settlement. There are five regions of the game world, each of which will generate you different resources for your settlement, but you need workers in each of those regions to harvest them. Competition will be fierce for those workers – other players will want them too. You needn’t always be competing with other players though, you can team up and form guilds, earning you bonuses and allowing you to rally against common enemies.
It’s a great looking game with some interesting gameplay mechanics. The building and dueling gameplay of Forbidden Source should be perfect for handheld devices and the colorful, cartoony art style is very striking. Sign up for the Beta search for the source!
