Forever Dream – Student Game

Forever Dream is a beautiful little experience where you leave behind your earthly body and go on a surreal trip through the afterlife.

You start Forever Dream in your apartment. It’s quite a functional and drab place, with some interestingly named books and an empty calendar signifies that you don’t have much going on right now. The color palate during this first section of the game only consists of black, white and grey. It seems that all the color has drained from your world – which possibly has something to do with an urn sitting on your bookshelf, sporting the words “In in memory of my loving wife, Hellen Houston”.

Things all change when you visit your local cinema however, as soon after the curtains open and movie starts, you face your final curtain. Leaving behind the grey world that has nothing left for you, you enter into a surreal afterlife with vibrant colors and many impossible sights.

Taking around 15 minutes to play through, Forever Dream is a beautiful and touching little experience. It takes a little while to get used to the game’s sedate pace, but it’s a wonderful little game that stays with you long after completion. A wonderful little stroll through the afterlife.
