Freshly Frosted is an addictive little donut factory puzzler where you attempt to place conveyor lines to connect up the machines and fulfil the correct orders of tasty donuts.
At first glance Freshly Frosted can look a little like Factorio or Automachef, but actually it’s a much faster paced and arcadey experience where most levels can be completed in under a minute. In each level all the machines are already placed and you need to figure out the best way to route the conveyor belts to connect them, from the oven, past the various machines and to the exits.
Things start off fairly simply, but as you progress more types of machines are introduced and you need to fulfil multiple types of donut for each order. Donuts have to pass the machines in a particular order (Frosting, Sprinkles, Whipped Cream then Cherries) and the lines can also be split up or combined as necessary.
It’s shaping up to be an excellent puzzler with delightful pastel visuals, inventive puzzles design and easily accessible gameplay. It’s particularly enjoyable to watch your conveyor systems in action once they’re completed as watching those sugar filled treats move around in unison is oddly mesmerizing. A (donut) whole lot of fun!
