Fright Train is a third-person action survival horror roguelite where paranormal special agent Doug Barker explores a monster-ridden train speeding through Antarctica, maintaining its parts to prevent stopping and facing whatever abomination emerges from the blizzard.
In Fright Train, responding to a distress signal from the L.R.S. Great White locomotive research station owned by secretive SHARK corporation means navigating iron bowels, meeting allies, encountering foes, monitoring the train’s condition, and keeping it running to avoid freezing or falling prey to outside creatures. Scavenging the procedurally generated train for resources, unlocking new cars and rooms with credits, preparing for deadly storm waves, purchasing items at vending machines, and upgrading weapons creates high-stakes gameplay.
Meaningful tactical inventory management physically displays big and medium items on the character with fetch speed depending on body location, while volatile combat ecosystems let enemy behaviors intertwine for support or sabotage. Semi-realistic stylized graphics, B-movie storytelling, and chilling adaptive soundtracks complete the experience. All aboard for the demo!
