Fury Unleashed is a fast paced combo-chasing 2D roguelite shooter set within the pages of an ever-changing comic book.
Drawing inspiration from arcade classics like Metal Slug and Contra, as well as modern roguelites like Dead Cells and Rogue Legacy, Fury Unleashed is a 2D roguelite shooter set within a procedurally generated comic book. You use guns, grenades, special abilities and melee attacks to fight your way through each frame of the comic book, collecting useful loot and upgrades along the way.
There’s a focus on chaining attacks together to build massive combos, with it possible to rip your way through the game in one epic combo. When you die you’ll also be able to use your earnings from that run to unlock permanently upgrades that will aid you on future attempts.
The demo acts as a prologue for the full game (which is in Early Access on Steam) and takes around 1-2 hours to play through. The combat is fast paced and fun, offering a nice amount of challenge and carnage, with a nice variety of upgrades and weapons to unlock too. A slick and stylish comic book caper well worth checking out.
