Get Out Alive is a very tense little first person horror survival shooter where you attempt to escape from a toxin-filled apartment block that’s inhabited by freaky monsters.
Currently in development by Owl Nest Studios (creators of Aslin’s Story: The Bloodbath Trials and The Grimm Stuff) Get Out Alive is a first person horror survival shooter set in a world decimated my mutants and toxic spores. In the game you take on the role of a soldier who has been separated from his team and has taken shelter inside an apartment block. The only issues being that the apartment block is full of mutants and the air is thick with spores. You need to turn on the ventilation and escape to the roof before you succumb to the spores or are mauled to death by the monsters.
Some of the mutant AI could be better and a little variety in the character models used would be nice, but on the whole it’s a very promising game. The voice acting is excellent, it’s got a very tense atmosphere and the level of detail in the squalid apartment block is impressive. It’s also got some great little touches, such as the way that being attacked by a mutant also damages your suit so that your remaining oxygen drops faster. There are two more planned chapters in the story, so it’ll be fun to see how they pan out.
