Gods from the Abyss is an old school side-scrolling beat ‘em up where two occultists punch, kick and slice their way through hordes of Eldritch monsters.
Drawing inspiration from classics like Final Fight, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and TMNT, Gods from the Abyss is a good old fashioned side-scrolling beat ‘em up with Eldritch monsters and plenty of gore. The current build features two levels and two playable characters, each with their own move-sets, which include standard attacks and specials.
At the moment Gods from the Abyss does have a few rough edges and it could do with a little more enemy variety, but the animation is excellent and the combat is a lot of fun when you have a good amount of enemies on screen. With a little more polish and a bit more variety it could be an excellent bit of retro arcade beat ‘em up action.
