PS4 and PS5 owners can now sign up to Beta test Guilty Gear: Strive, a visually stunning new installment of the Guilty Gear series that makes 3D visuals look like a hand drawn Anime.
Currently in development by Arc System Works (creators of Guilty Gear, BlazBlue and Dragon Ball FighterZ) is the latest in the long running Guilty Gear series and it looks absolutely incredible. Somehow the developers have managed to make its 3D environments and character models look like the classic 2.5D Anime style the series is renowned for. New and old characters will join its 13 fighter roster and the full game also promises a story mode (complete with Anime cutscenes) that are longer than a movie.
There’s no info on what fighters will be available in the Beta, but it’ll feature offline and online versus modes and the ability to play against the CPU. The Open Beta will run from 19th – 4:00am CET until February 21st – 4:00pm CET, and if you sign up now then you can get in a day early (February 18th – 4:00am CET). The Beta sign up is for Europe only but you may be able to sign up via a VPN.
