Gunpowder on the Teeth: Arcade is a very stylish and infuriatingly tough pixel art run and gun arcade shooter that will test your combat skills and your sanity as you attempt to make your way through its rage inducing levels.
In Gunpowder on the Teeth: Arcade you control brave little soldiers as they run, gun and jump their way through a series of increasingly tough levels. Rage quit platformers can be great fun, but unfortunately at the moment Gunpowder on the Teeth: Arcade is rage inducing for many of the wrong reasons – long levels with no checkpoints, hard to see hazards and unpredictable wall jumps make it a real chore. And if you manage to make it through the fourth level without putting your fist through your monitor then you have the patience of a saint.
If the devs manage to balance out the gameplay so that it’s a little more user friendly then Gunpowder on the Teeth: Arcade could be a great game though – the fast paced action platforming is great fun and the retro Gameboy-esque pixel art visuals are superb. A retro run n’ gun romp that will cause many a rage quit, but shows a lot of promise.
