Headlines From The Deep is a wonderfully absurd little narrative-driven adventure about a diver who gets lost at sea, then gets mistaken for a fish and put to work as an intern at a fish news station!
Created for the HPS1 Summer of Shivers game jam, Headlines From The Deep is a tile based first person dungeon crawler, but instead of fighting enemies you’re helping out the various fish that work at a fish-based news station. You’re a diver who got lost at sea. Thankfully the fish found you, but they seem to think you’re also a fish and have given you a job at the local news station. To be able to call for help you’ll need to get into the radio room, but to get there you’ll need to help out around the station first.
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, it’s a delightful little game with a great sense of humor. Each of your fishy co-workers are a lot of fun to get to know and there’s plenty of silly gags that will make you smile. Highly recommended.
