Heroes Ravage is a fun new 4v4 multiplayer game that plays like a blend of The Legend of Zelda and Rainbow Six Siege as four heroes attempt to ransack households while four villagers attempt to stop them.
We often think nothing of breaking into houses, smashing objects and stealing anything that’s not nailed down in RPGs, but what if the villagers fought back? Taking the house looting antics of Link an extreme, Heroes Ravage sees four players attempting to loot households for all their valuables while another four try to stop them.
Each match plays out in two phases, a preparation phase and and a “Ravage Time” phase. During the preparation phase the villagers can set traps, craft useful items and hide their Axis (valuable crystals the heroes are trying to steal). Meanwhile the heroes are able to kill AI mobs to gather items to craft useful weapons, bombs and potions. During the Ravage Time phase all Hell breaks loose as the heroes attempt to storm the household and the villagers try to defend it.
It’s a great looking game with high quality pixel art animation and gameplay that takes a satirical swipe at the home looting in RPGs to offer fun twist on multiplayer siege warfare. A word of warning though – you can go after the players as much as you like, but for the love of God, don’t touch the chickens, they make Hyrulian chickens looks like wimps!
