Hoverloop is a fast paced multiplayer arena shooter where players pilot heavily armed and highly agile hover drones in gladiatorial battles for the entertainment of the masses.
Taking place in the year 2077, Hoverloop is essentially a super high tech version of Robot Wars, which sees customizable battle drones attempting to blow each other up in competitive multiplayer matches. It’s playable with four players locally in split-screen co-op or online with up to eight players. Players can customize their hover drones with a wide array of cosmetic items and kit it out with unique abilities, such as death rays or the ability to teleport.
It’s a fun looking game, with fast and agile hover drones, a nice selection of weaponry and large, futuristic arenas to do battle in. The Open Beta is live now and will run until 3:00 PM CEST on September 1st and testers will also earn an exclusive in-game hat, trail and dog-tag for their participation.
